For 30 years Tony has learned and explored several forms of martial arts. In 1999 he started a career in personal training and group fitness instructor for clubs through out NYC.

This unique system of Filipino martial arts focuses on proper body mechanics rather than specific techniques. It’s rhythmic movements add power to technique and helps to create a calm, relaxed mind-set that is critical to martial ability, especially when weapons are involved.
The training emphasizes the use of espada y daga (sword and dagger), which promotes the development of fluid continuous attack, a refined sense of distance and timing with hair trigger responses. Wooden weapons are used to teach a structured training method which allows martial qualities to be retained while preventing injury.
The movements of the founder Filemon Canete were graceful, effective and powerful until his death at the age of 91.
